Dead Gay People Have Rights Too!

Perhaps you’re a reader of Queer Fresno and already know about dickwad Governor Don Carcieri vetoing a law in Rhode Island allowing funeral decision-making rights to domestic partners. Essentially the Governor said he didn’t want gay couples to be allowed to make the arrangements for their deceased partner’s burial and Stephen Colbert properly lambasted him for it.

Well today the Rhode Island legislature gave Mr. Carcieri what for by overwhelmingly overriding his veto. From the article:

The House — and then the Senate — voted to override Republican Carcieri’s veto of a bill giving domestic partners the right to claim the bodies of — and make funeral arrangements for — their loved ones.

The House vote was 67 to 3 and the Senate vote was 29 to 3.

The only one of dueling defense-of-marriage, same-sex marriage and gay-rights bills introduced in Rhode Island last year that cleared the General Assembly, the legislation was an outgrowth of the personal tale that Mark S. Goldberg told lawmakers about his months-long battle last fall to persuade state authorities to release to him for cremation the body of his partner of 17 years, Ron Hanby.

There’s no reason this shouldn’t have become law in the first place. Thank you Rhode Island for doing what’s right.

New Jersey Gay Marriage Vote Will Happen!!

In a shocking release just moments ago, New Jersey Senate President Richard Codey announced that he will push the New Jersey Gay Marriage Vote to this Thursday, the 7th.

This is a huge boon to equal marriage supporters, if passed it still falls under current NJ Governor Corzine who has pledged to sign the bill into law. From www.nj.com:

“Given the intensely personal nature of this issue, I think the people of this state deserve the right to a formal debate on the Senate floor,” said Codey, in a statement.

Many legislators have refused to say publicly where they stand on the matter and how they would vote. Legislators who are in favor of the measure have said support for the bill won’t be known until the votes are tallied.

Today in Self-Contradiction

“I hope this is just an example of Mr Downey’s black sense of humour. It would be drastic, but I would withdraw permission for more films to be made if they feel that is a theme they wish to bring out in the future. I am not hostile to homosexuals, but I am to anyone who is not true to the spirit of the books.”

—Andrea Plunket, who holds the US copyright to the literary Holmes saga

I’m sorry but homoeroticism is effing everywhere in literature. Sure the Narrator and Tyler Durden Fight Club in may not be getting it on in the background but you can’t deny the bromance there.  Likewise with Sherlock plus Rachel McAdams’ character is the closest thing I’ve seen to a fag hag in a period piece ever. Also: she’s not hostile to homosexual she just doesn’t want them on-screen or in any way associated with her whatsoever? Bitch, please.

As for the most recent incarnation of the book it’s pretty good. Holmes, as played by Robert Downey Jr., seems to have three skills: drinking, conducting science experiments whilst drinking and punching real good (again while drinking). Plus him and Jude Law do have pretty good chemistry, homoerotic or not, and the wisecracking is pretty enjoyable. Granted the movie itself doesn’t stay too true to the book but the upside of having a movie is that action scenes are much more enjoyable in moving picture form then they are in text, so I’m willing to forgive Ritchie for the artistic license.

Trio sex turns into a lesbian sex brawl

In Australia: A Sydney public school teacher’s assistant has appeared in court following a sex scandal with her lesbian lover.

Nepean High School teacher’s assistant Sharron Anne Lee, 40, was involved in a threesome at a drunken New Year’s Eve sex party which later descended into a brawl.

Parramatta Bail Court heard yesterday that Lee, a teacher’s assistant, had fought with her girlfriend of three years, Carlie-Anne Bell, from Glenmore Park, in her bedroom while the man they had picked up at the Penrith Panthers club, Nikola Murgevski, watched on horrified.

The three had continued partying at Rooty Hill RSL before retiring to Lee’s bedroom after playing “strip pool” in Lee’s backyard, the court heard.

Court documents said the fight had begun because Bell was upset that Lee was having sex with a man, Murgevski.

The alleged attack saw Bell hospitalised with a tear to her bowel lining and severe bleeding.

Bell was rushed to Nepean Hospital where she was expected to undergo surgery.

The Court heard Lee was a teacher’s assistant at the school in an “Aboriginal program” Department of Education spokesman Mark Davis refused to say whether Lee would be suspended.

“At this stage we wouldn’t have any comment to make on the situation with the teacher,” he said. “We’d await the outcome of the court proceedings.”

It is not known if Lee’s child was home. Lee was charged with recklessly causing grievous bodily harm. Police prosecutor Kristy Madden said the charges related to “an unusual set of circumstances” and the facts read “horrifically”.

Lee was refused bail and will appear before Mount Druitt Local Court on January 11.

Dear Diary

So the drama is over.  Ryan and I are no more, and instead of feeling sad this morning I feel more relieved than anything else.  The relationship was very one way and was very draining.  With school break ending on Monday, I decided that I would have a nice long weekend of no work.  I don’t go back until Monday afternoon.  I am back to my 20 hour a week job and I am excited about going back to school and seeing my friends who have gone on vacation for most of the holiday. Tomorrow I have one of my friends Emma coming over and we are just going to veg all day!

Today I woke up not really all the horny.  It’s probably the first time in a while that I didn’t masturbate first thing in the morning.  I went downstairs and had some breakfast, and decided to polish my nails.  I know most of you are thinking this is boring as hell, well this is my life, it’s not all rainbows and unicorns as my friend says.  I decided to go festive and did red nails with white stripes, still in a festive mood I guess.  After that I went up and shaved my legs.  At that point I felt I deserved an orgasm and a scooted my butt so that the faucet was shooting right on my clit, leaned back, thought of one particular facebook friend (that I admire quietly through a series of pokes) and came nice and hard.

With that business out-of-the-way, I shaved myself, only cutting myself once on my knee.  Decided I still like the landing strip so I shaved around it.  Toweled off, put on some really sexy lingerie, that I had bought a few weeks ago but never wore, a pink and black lacy bra, black blouse, pink short skirt, boring white panties but these pink and knee high socks.  I took myself to Kohls and blew through my gift certificate as I counted no less than three older men actually follow me around the store (a little creepy, although I know they just wanted a peek of me).

I picked up a new purse and wallet, a pair of pink Vans, a sweater, and a scarf.  I know,I know, no fun stuff, but I think Kohl’s underwear selection is kind of boring.  I headed back home and chilled out with my mom and my brother’s girlfriend.   After we finished the movie, I went up to my room and hopped on Facebook to do some flirting :)   Only to find one of my friends picture’s is popping up all over Facebook as fraud “lesbians” who are really men.  I felt horrible for her.  It’s such an invasion of privacy.

I was going to leave a long post about fraud on Facebook, but I think everyone’s aware of it.  I just wonder if the guys who do it truly understand how difficult it is to come to terms with being bi or gay for that matter.  Look at me, I am terrified to come out of the closet, I am still afraid someone will find this blog from school or my profile on Facebook and blast me at school because I’m different.  There are some girls on facebook that I know are real, there are some I think are real and all others will be purged soon.

One of the reasons I started this blog was to slowly come out of the closet and see what it’s like to not worry what others will think of me being bi.  As much as guys want a girl who is bi, I’ll still be considered a freak.  I don’t even want to think about the girls that will probably avoid me in the locker room or just stay away from me period.  It’s very stressful, especially since I want a girlfriend now more than ever and I don’t know how to go about it without completely coming out.  With only half a year of high school left I just don’t want to risk it.  So I just dream of my Facebook girls and chat with them and maybe sometime I will meet one.

Goodnight my friends

love and kisses,

Cassie

2010

What do I want from 2010?

I don’t have a habit of making New Year’s resolutions but as I look back on all the changes of the past year I want to look forward as well. Where have I come from? Where am I headed?

2010 is going to be the year in which I react to everything that happened in 2009. All the changes, the realizations, the massive introspection.

What do I want from 2010?

I want to live as the person I am discovering myself to be.

I want to find out just who that is, male, genderqueer, lesbian, who knows?

I want to learn new things, read new books, listen to new music, meet new people.

I want to study hard, because that’s what I enjoy.

I want to spend time with my friends, because it’s so rare that I have any, and I may not get the chance again.

I want to solve a Rubik’s cube in 30 seconds.

I want to play a beautiful solo violin recital.

I want to get into graduate school and move away from home.

I want to learn Polish.

Bring it on, 2010.
