A straight older man in Amsterdam who works above the store Gays&Gadgets was standing in font of the store holding a bag from the gay store when 2 younger guys(look Moroccan) started shouting abusive things to the guy and when he walks after them to confront them one of the guys kicks the older guy who kicks back, falls on the floor and the Moroccan guy starts kicking him some more. This was all on camera and that is another sign only cameras at gay hotspots does not help. More police and heavier sentences for the homophobes are the only things that might help.
A revised version of the Diary of Anne Frank called “The Definite Edition” has been pulled by a school system in Virginia. The book that was published on the 50th anniversary of her death in a concentration camp and had according to a parent it had sexually explicit material and homosexual undertones referencing to a passage where Anne has a crush on another girl. Such an important book, one of the most important in the world ever and people complain that their teens read something about a girl-girl crush. Ridiculous.
Obama keeps disappointing the gays by only making promises and not doing anything real. He has promised once more in his State of the Union that Don’t Ask, don’t tell will be repealed, but he did this already before and still nothing has happened on this issue. And during a Town Hall meeting when he was asked about the issue of gay marriage the only thing he came up with was the old and boring gays should be able to go to the hospital when their partner is dying. Dodging the question because he is against it and does not want to upset the gays even more. Especially as a black man he should be in favor of equality.
Brisbane lesbian Narelle Oliver (pictured) has been ordained as the first female priest within the Independent Catholic Church of Australia.
The social worker, who was ordained late last year, said her vows were not a political statement but rather a personal decision, reported The Courier-Mail.
“This is a deeply spiritual journey, not a political statement for me,” she said.
Oliver, who says mass every second Sunday in a decommissioned Methodist church in Hemmant, said the Independent Catholic Church – a small denomination of ‘Old Catholics’ who split from the Roman Catholics in 1870 – was “a place where people come and celebrate their faith and be accepted”.

Proposition 8, a new provision to the California Constitution, reads:
Only marriage between a man and a woman is valid or recognized in California.
— Wikipedia
Your gay wedding is a special day for you, your loved one, relatives and friends. You’ve chosen the flowers, the rings, the wedding finery. Now here’s how to make it official in the State of California.
First, lay in a supply of handguns, rocket-propelled grenades, and shoulder-launched missiles. I’ll explain how to use them later. Your wedding needs to be scheduled on a weekday during the County Clerk’s office hours. Plan carefully! Your wedding may result in injury, mutilation, imprisonment, death and/or a hefty fine.
You should invite all of your friends who own trucks, SUVs, Escalades, and Humvees. These should be outfitted with gun mounts on the hood, and an anti-tank guided missile system on the back.
Invite many guests, you will need them to replace those felled by return fire from your local police and sheriff. Instruct your guests that wedding wear should be something that allows them to run, climb, and lay down covering fire. Discourage female guests from wearing gowns and high heels. Instead they are to wear khaki and camo.
On the wedding day, it is best to exchange rings, vows, and have a ‘traditional’ though not official, wedding before you head off to the courthouse. This prevents later disappointment in case the brides or grooms die during the official ceremony firefight. Drill your wedding guests into a mean combat unit ahead of time.
You prepared the Armored Vehicles (AVs) the day before by mounting guns and missile launchers. The AV’s were disguised with painted well-wishes such as “Just Married” and the weapons covered with white daisies. Now the AV’s caravan to the courthouse and fan out around the entrance, flattening any obstacles like fire hydrants and signs.
Upon arrival, elite wedding guest weapons handlers unwrap the Grenade Rifle Entry Munition M-100 system (GREM). We highly recommend the GREM, which can blast a door in from half a football field away. You never know who or what awaits you behind the courthouse door. Aim the GREM at the door and command the guests to insert their pre-issued earplugs that match the wedding color scheme.
Using the GREM you’ll have no trouble entering the courthouse unimpeded. The wedding guests follow pre-planned orders and enter in formation. Ignore the approaching sound of wailing sirens. If the Clerk is alive, threaten her until she gives you the certificate that you came for. If she fell victim to the GREM, make staff rifle through the drawers and give you a marriage certificate. Make sure that it is signed by a County official!
Once you have the certificate, order the wedding guests to draw their pistols and cover the wedding couple’s exit, and have guests withdraw in formation. If law enforcement has arrived, the guests should lay down covering fire while the wedding couple leaps into the AV and peels off, launching missiles as it retreats. If the police gun down one or both of the wedding couple, trained wedding guest medics should retrieve the newlyweds to an AV as soon as battlefield conditions permit.
Wedding guests should retreat to the AV’s as feasible, and follow the preassigned escape plan. Do not leave any wedding guest behind! This is rude and potentially fatal. Each AV should follow its unique evasion plan to the secret Wedding Reception location.
Upon arrival, guests may change into wedding attire, tuxes, gowns and heels so long as they retain a fully loaded pistol upon their person at all times. If the bride or groom or both have been injured or killed, the guests should make arrangements for medical attention that is waiting on-site, or dispose of the bodies. In case both brides or grooms have perished, the guests may use the Reception as a wake, funeral and reconaissance point for their new life on the lam.
Planning is the key to a successful gay wedding under Prop. 8, we cannot emphasize this enough. Planning, training, skill, courage and of course, love! No wedding would be complete without all of these. We wish you luck on your California gay wedding. Write and tell us about it, if you make it.

Queer Question Time have invited journalist, Julie Bindel, to form part of their panel for the QQT debate at the Royal Vauxhall Tavern on Friday, 29th Jan. While reserving particular vitriol for trans people, Julie Bindel has used her position in the media to be an outspoken opponent of queer identified people in general.
In her Guardian column of November 2008, she dismissed queer people as merely those “who are into kinky sex”, expressed prejudice towards bisexual people and the non-binary identified, comparing them to “devil worshippers” and declaring that she did not want to be associated with those “defined by odd sexual habits or characteristics”, and said that she wanted nothing to do with the wider LGBT movement, asking for “an amicable split”.
Now she is appearing on a panel to comment upon and discuss queer issues, and this discussion is being hosted in the Royal Vauxhall Tavern, traditionally regarded by London’s queer community as one of its “safe spaces”.
Julie has reserved much of her vitriol for the trans community, who have been described by her as “looking like the cast of Grease” and who she dismisses as mere dupes of “reactionary male psychiatrists”, with 1950s ideals about binary gender roles. In 2007 she appeared in Radio 4’s “Hecklers’” debate, arguing that hormonal and surgical treatment for trans people should “not be available”, and that they should be offered “talking cures” instead, expression a view similar to those of the US Christian right who favour so-called “ex-gay/ex-trans” reparative therapy.
Indeed, the homophobic Christian Right would find much in common with Julie’s views on gender identity and sexual orientation. She has often described homosexuality as a choice and suggested that sexuality can be changed by psychotherapy. In a world where the Religious Right seeks to extend its influence over the globe, as demonstrated by recent events in Uganda, Julie as a “respected representative” of the lesbian and gay community provides dangerous ammunition to those who wish to see sexual orientations and indeed, our very identities outlawed and have us coerced into their reparative therapy programmes. Indeed, her writing is already being cited by those in the UK “seeking to uphold Biblical values to the transvestite, transsexual and transgendered person”:

When queer people expressed their concerns about the invitation of someone who seems to fundamentally opposed to the queer movement into the heart of a space which has traditionally been regarded as safe and welcoming to queer people, we were dismissed by the organisers, who just kept repeating themselves over and over:
“QQT is an event for the LGBT community to debate current affairs. The panel is made up of a cross section of society whose opinions do not necessarily reflect those of the QQT organisers or the RVT.”
Furthermore, it appears opportunities to challenge Julie’s anti trans, anti queer views in the talk itself may be severely limited. This amounts to the organisers of QQT silencing queer people in our own spaces, and must not be allowed to stand unchallenged.
Please dress fabulously, bring rainbow flags and placards for a peaceful demonstration outside the Royal Vauxhall Tavern. Let’s show those wishing to impose a corporate-friendly, assimilationist agenda that queer people who reject the constraints of heteronormativity, cisnormativity and rigid binary thinking *do* have a voice, and that we can shout loud enough to be heard.

I am obsessed with Sarah and Veronica from Big Brother Italy. I think their relationship is real. The dramas that go on between these two is evidence enough to me that it is real. Love is an absolute killer of an emotion and how how can it be anything but true love. If the stories are true that they have been told to cool it and hook up with the guys on the show than I don’t understand how they can agree to do such a thing. Sarah dissapoints me if this is true. Her hooking up with that new guy in her and Veronicas bed of all places. I don’t understand a word of Italian so I am getting my understanding of this relationship via After Ellen boards, but even without words body language is pretty strong. I don’t think it is being done to get attention, not if it is true that lesbianism is not accepted in Italy. There would be no point to play that angle. Veronica at least has not really done anything to bad with “the pit” since declaring her love for Sarah. I honestly believe her and him are just friends and he is looking out for her. And who would not blame him if he is just being there for her in the hope that she realises she want to be with him. I am doing that right now. Being the friend hoping that one day my friend will want me and not all these other guys. How can they not want to spend every second with each over. I mean one of them will be leaving the house this coming eviction. If I was either one of them and I was the one who did not go I would leave anyway. Love is love and it is rare and once you find it hold onto it and never let it go. It may not last, it may not mean forever, but it should not be ignored and once an opportunity passes you by you don’t always get a second chance. Don’t let the pressure of tv stand in the way of true love.
I’ve really enjoyed reading other lesbian oriented blogs. I don’t have a community of lesbian women in my age group (or outside it, but I’m an ageist, there I said it) to talk to and reading other blogs makes me feel less isolated. I still identify as being a 20-something. It also makes me feel a bit old at 27 to be coming out, but it was the right time for me.
I even considered joining my local lesbian meetup group last night, but I am not an old, pear shaped, bowling interested, mom jeans wearing dyke. Yes, I deserve to be ostracized. I have deep wells of shallowness. I will persist in going out out, eventually I will stumble into friends or scurry back into the closet. I lost my optimist card today.
Purge: I had sinus infection symptoms last night, but after a good night sleep I’m feeling much better although not 100%. My father (the lifelong verbally abusive emotionally crippled alcoholic who my mother left a month ago…to move into my house…) called while I was trying to sleep and blasted me with a heavy dose of self pity and blamed me through his tears for I don’t know what but it’s my fault because of my lack of sympathy. He’s cutting me out of his life because I haven’t been supportive enough: new locks on his house, changing his phone number and won’t be giving me the new one. The cold ugly feeling is rising in my chest again. I refuse to be accountable for his fucked up life choices. Until I can solve all the ugliness in my life with hugs; I’m going with the indifferent approach.
I wish my mom would make a plan for her life and move out. I’m a bad daughter, a terrible person, and a frustrated lesbian. I hate being closeted in my own home. But coming out to mom without a her to point to and say “see” seems like a pointless interjection of awkwardness into my daily life.
