What do I want from 2010?

I don’t have a habit of making New Year’s resolutions but as I look back on all the changes of the past year I want to look forward as well. Where have I come from? Where am I headed?

2010 is going to be the year in which I react to everything that happened in 2009. All the changes, the realizations, the massive introspection.

What do I want from 2010?

I want to live as the person I am discovering myself to be.

I want to find out just who that is, male, genderqueer, lesbian, who knows?

I want to learn new things, read new books, listen to new music, meet new people.

I want to study hard, because that’s what I enjoy.

I want to spend time with my friends, because it’s so rare that I have any, and I may not get the chance again.

I want to solve a Rubik’s cube in 30 seconds.

I want to play a beautiful solo violin recital.

I want to get into graduate school and move away from home.

I want to learn Polish.

Bring it on, 2010.
